Romaine graduated from Kansas State University in May 2023 and began his career at HOK prior to AKA, where he had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects in the sports, recreation and entertainment industries. Romaine obviously says it best when we asked him WHY he became a designer? What moved him in that direction? “I’ve known I wanted to be a designer for over a decade. I’ve always been drawn towards ideas and discussions about enhancing the human experience through the built environment and decided at a semi-early age that I wanted to be a part of a group that forges a path forward for humanity through infrastructure.”

When Romaine isn’t designing using ideation to enhance human experience, he loves volleyball, reading, video games and has dreams of being a cat dad someday soon.
