Dan Knight: AIA
Founding Partner
Dan is a principal owner at Anderson Knight Architects and the company’s lead technical director. He has 40 years of experience providing design and architectural services in the Manhattan community and surrounding region. His hands-on construction background during his early years in the building industry, coupled with a master’s degree in architectural engineering, allows him to provide valuable insight with every project.
Dan derives inspiration from working on various project types and treating every project as unique from the ones before. Dan thrives in problem-solving and excels at navigating complex design challenges. He has an unwavering commitment to detail, in every aspect of design, from structural elements to the finishing touches.
He is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS) and served on the board of Flint Hills Volunteer Center (formerly RSVP) from 2016 to 2023. Dan has described himself as a teacher at heart, shown throughout his career with the mentorship and guidance he provides the team, as well as time spent as an assistant professor at Kansas State University in its Department of Architectural Engineering and Construction Science.
