In 2008, Manhattan’s 100-year old City Park Pool was in need of repair. AKA was hired to design and facilitate the tear down and rebuilding of the pool. The main building is composed of a single slope roof with glue-laminated beams and columns. The orientation of the building allows for maximum day-lighting into the locker rooms, changing rooms, and offices.
